Spencer Bach - RYO Senior Music Director

Spencer Bach began his teaching career in 1995 after receiving his B.Mus. degree from UBC. As the Senior Music Director at York House School in Vancouver, he oversees the entire concert band, vocal jazz, and jazz band program. Spencer’s Concert Band and Choral ensembles have consistently boasted Gold and Superior ratings at the provincial and national level. He is the co-musical director with Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! – an auditioned summer musical theatre program for talented teens held at the Jewish Community Centre. Spencer has completed writing a full length original musical score to “The Winter Ballet” – a new masterpiece by local playwright Beverly Meckle. He is an active composer, arranger, an accomplished saxophonist and pianist.
